![]() However, they’re available to all characters now in Diablo 2: Resurrected. Previously, in the original Lord of Destruction, some runewords were limited to ladder play. +15 all resistances, +22 all resistances (shield) +75% damage to demons, +100 attack rating against demons +30% cold resist, +35% cold resist (shield)Ģ0% faster hit recovery, 20% faster block rate (shield) +30% lightning resist, +35% lightning resist (shield) +30% fire resist, +35% fire resist (shield) +30% poison resist, +35% poison resist (shield) Ogre Axe is a complete no go: its max socket is 3.+75% damage to undead, +50 attack rating against undeadġ5% slower stamina drain, +7% chance to block (shield) As an example: my Necro's merc uses Obedience in an eth Thresher.Ĭolossus Voulge is the most convenient to make runewords out of as it has a max socket of 4, but also has the highest requirements to wield, pretty good if your merc can use it as is with available gear and if you are not relying on your merc doing anything beyond surviving and wielding the said insight, but for Crushing Blow application I'd look elsewhere, and I would still choose other polearms if the choice exist. Thresher is great choice if you want to get your merc to use it as early as humanly possible, or if you value his attack speed more than his damage (IE for cases where you want to apply crushing blow on bosses, as an example), Giant thresher is better than thresher for damage but also has a higher stat requirements than threshers and harder to find. D TIER Below Average, slightly on the weaker side of an average pick. C TIER An Average choice, middle of the pack neither good nor bad. B TIER Good choice and can be viable when used with the right Build. A TIER Very Strong Polearm Runeword, but not on the same level as S-Tier Choices. ![]() Great Poleaxe is by and large the highest DPS polearm, usually followed by Cryptic Axe for the most part.
